Polished and Stained Concrete

Let the slab be the floor, finished properly.

Stained and polished concrete uses the slab you already have. We grind it to open the surface and take out old adhesive, paint or high spots, then work through finer passes for a smoother face. Stain goes in next, soaking into the concrete rather than sitting on top, and a sealer brings up the sheen and protects it.

Stain is translucent, so every floor is variegated: the color follows the concrete, its trowel marks and its history. That's the look people want in open living areas, garages and shops. Before we start, Eric walks you through how stain reads on your slab so you know what you're getting.

It's also one of the easiest floors to live with: no grout lines, nothing to peel, and day-to-day cleaning is a dust mop and a damp mop. For busy commercial floors we'll talk through maintenance and resealing so it keeps its sheen.

★★★★★Garage floor and driveway
Eric and his team turned our ridiculously dirty garage floor and driveway into brand new masterpieces. This is your guy for any surface cleaning/refinishing. Excellent work, fair prices, very timely.

Couldn't recommend anyone higher. Very satisfied with this contractor. His communication skills are excellent. He has high standards and works hard to give you a beautiful finished project that is pure artwork. He lets you know right up front that there can be imperfections yet when he's done it comes out wonderful.

Questions

Good to know.

Envious Coatings is owned and run by Eric Collins in Lady Lake, Florida, and coats floors across Lake, Sumter and Marion counties and the rest of Central Florida. Estimates are free and in person.

Can you stain my existing floor after the carpet or tile comes up?

Usually, yes. We grind off the old glue and thinset, fill the tack-strip holes and repair cracks. Old repairs and patches will show through stain, so Eric looks at the bare slab before giving you a price.

How shiny will it be?

That's your choice. A sealer can go from a soft satin to a high gloss. Polished floors get their sheen from the grinding passes, and a guard or sealer on top makes them easier to keep clean.

How do I get an estimate?

Tap “Get a free quote” on this page or call (352) 608-6989, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Tell us what you want coated and roughly how big it is. Eric comes out, checks the slab, and gives you a written price.
